A shepherd Samet karaca in Kılıçkaya village of Yusufeli district of Artvin. Kılıçkaya is one of the Erzurum borders of Artvin. Since it has mountainous terrain, villagers prefer small cattle breeding more, cattle breeding is also widely practised.
Samet, who has been a shepherd since he was almost 8-10 years old, will no longer be a shepherd, after turning 18, he will take the path of the university he won, unfortunately he will leave his sheep and rams, which he loves more than himself, and go to study. According to Sametin, who both loves them and wants to get rid of them at the same time, "I hit them when it came time, I loved them when it came time, I sat and chatted when it came time, they are my favourite friends, but I wish the best for them. It is very difficult to make animal husbandry in this economy, even when I want to sell these animals, which are like my children that I have been feeding for years, I cannot get a decent price, even if I want to sell them, it does not save my costs. While I was solving a solution to this situation, I found myself talking to the sheep, I do not want my sheep to be sold for less than the price of my sheep, both my father and me and my family have a lot of labour, but it is very difficult in this economy, I continue to think of a solution to sell these animals for what they are worth and I continue to talk to the sheep."
The future concerns of an 18-year-old shepherd are the same as the future concerns of young people in the city, only the faces, allusions and regions change, the location is the same location.
